Filler plate with bracket for the bumper mounting of the VW Beetle 1200 up to 07/1973 and Beetle 1300 from 09/1952 to 07/1967, OEM number 111 707 121A. The part sits between the bumper overrider and the chassis and absorbs vibrations and play. Replacement is common when fitting the bumper or when the old plate has rusted through.
