Silencer for the VW T3 Bus with air-cooled CT engine, model years 07/1980–12/1982, OEM number 070 251 053C. The silencer is mounted at the rear of the engine block and contains the connections for the heat exchangers and the exhaust manifold. Replacement is required when the casing rusts through or leaks at the weld seams.
