This rubber seal closes the brake fluid reservoir and prevents dirt and moisture from entering your brake assembly. For T1 and Karmann Ghia - this replacement part 113 611 399B is a straightforward replacement if you are cleaning or overhauling your reservoir. It is usually stuck under the lid - so just carefully loosen it and replace it if it is dried out or damaged. Combine this with a new reservoir lid or a complete brake line overhaul.
