Rubber dust cover for the shift ball on the gearbox of the VW T3 Bus from 08/1982, with OEM number 251 711 167E. The cover keeps dirt and moisture away from the ball connection of the shift rod at the gearbox. Replacement is necessary when the rubber has hardened or torn, causing play in the shift linkage.
