This double-tapered bearing is located at the rear of your secondary shaft and carries a significant load. The OEM number 091 311 219 fits T2a - T2b - T3 - Type 3 - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181 models. When it shows wear - you'll notice it in the form of play in the gearbox or a rumbling noise while driving. Combine this with the front bearing and possibly new seals for complete maintenance.
