These powder-coated steel plates sit around your oil cooler and keep dirt and sand out of your engine. Different variants are needed for T1 - T2a - T2b - Karmann Ghia and Type 181 - so check your chassis number against the correct OEM numbers (113 119 431 - 113 119 419 - 113 119 543 or 113 119 519). They don't really wear out - but if you're refurbishing your engine - you'll want them clean and pristine. Combine this with a new seal bolt kit and fresh hoses for a completely refreshed cooling system.
